To close your umbrella, put the handle is attached to the higher hexagon bolt.  With your right hand, put slight pressure on the handle in the clockwise direction. With your left hand, flick up the safety switch. Unwind the handle anti-clockwise until you feel some slack in the belt. Flick the safety switch back.

To get the most out of your canopy and warranty, continue with the below steps to wrap the canopy closed securely.

This is NOT how you want your umbrella to look when closed up. See below each step of making sure your umbrella is correctly packed away.

Step 1. Pull all eight (8) canopy panels free from the arm struts to avoid pinch and rub marks. Wrap the panels around the canopy.

Step 2. Wrap the panels around the canopy, using a strap provided to secure it. Tighten as necessary. Then, use the second strap to secure the wrapped canopy to the mast.

WARNING

Do not leave the umbrella closed without pulling the fabric clear from the arms. This will result in wear marks or cuts in the canopy. Failure to close the canopy properly (step 1 and step 2) will void warranty.
